Manager Development Journey
Context
The Managers, essentially the wider part of an organization are where most of the action is. Balancing day-to-day operations, to managing the team dynamics and the constant vigil they need to keep on ensuring all efforts are aligned to the overall goals makes it a ‘hot-spot’ position to be in. How to let go, when to let go & how much to let go, in terms of empowering others is a constant challenge for them. Conflicting situations amidst all this are common at this level.
Apart from driving the vision of the leadership team & the goals defined there in, this segment of management also needs to act as a key link between the top management & the teams reporting in to them. Transparency, clarity & assertiveness in communication, honing essential relationship building skills, use of influence, planning & allocating resources, understanding the larger perspective in terms of the overall big picture, balancing strategic vs. tactical thinking, requires them to be sharp, sensitive, with high levels of emotional & political intelligence, while being firm and steady in their directions, and innovative in their approach.
Our Approach
At Beyond Basics we believe that the learning continuum and effectiveness is maintained if we run learning journeys with the target population. What it essentially mean is that the facilitator meets the participant every 6-7 weeks to cover a new skill/behavior through a module and string them all together through tasks, projects, feedback or coaching.
A ‘stacked-up’ approach, our learning journey ensures sustained learning where the participants explore new concepts/skills, apply/experiment with them at work place, and meet again to discuss the outcomes. Thereby ensuring the training have a high applicability in real work life.
The Journey
Is a combination of Beyond Basics MINDCRAFT and SKILL-ON programs that are hand picked to suit your needs. All the modules are combined and designed to custom fit the team characteristics, intended shift, current challenges and the outcomes desired. The length and duration of the journey is based on the discussions and impact required.
