BEING A COACH AND A MENTOR

Scope
The success of a good leadership is not defined by the targets met & turnover figures, or how effectively he/she drove the results. The real leader is someone who is the teams confidant in all matters of joy & challenges, who is the ‘go to’ person for the members, who the team looks up to as a role model, whose personality others want to emulate, and who radiates positivity, trust & an overall sense of well being. This would be the ultimate level each person at a leadership position should aim for. This would necessarily mean that as a leader, one becomes a mentor to his/her team, who helps the members develop themselves, align their own visions & dreams, & help them get to the next level in their respective lives. Coaching then becomes an important skill each mentor will need to have.
